Running Weekly

How Running Weekly is made

Running Weekly is a running weekly roundup for people who follow marathon and road racing closely, plus the gear and fueling they argue about. It is built every week from the running accounts, sites, subreddits and YouTube channels we follow.

The process

  1. Every post from the accounts we follow is collected, including replies and reposts, so nothing is cherry picked.
  2. Posts with no substance are filtered out. What is left gets grouped, so twenty posts about one thing become one story.
  3. Stories are ranked by impact: several independent people beat one, primary sources beat commentary, data beats opinion.
  4. Every quote is checked word for word against the original post. Every story is checked for misattribution and overreach. Anything that fails is dropped, not rewritten.

What you get

One short issue a week. What changed, who it affects, and what to do about it, with the original posts embedded so you can check our work.
